Reliable News Sources on Iran

There are excellent outlets for accurate information on Iran, but one must look for them. It is easy to be lazy and just read David Sanger in the Times, but Sanger is inaccurate, biased and misleading. The Washington Post is not much better. Since the age of mainstream serious journalism is almost dead, one must go to the Internet to get truthful reporting.

I suggest the Inter Press Service <www.ips.org> where Gareth Porter regularly posts; also New America Media <www.newamericamedia.org>; Agence Global <rights@agenceglobal.com>, Khouri's own service is also good; as is Jim Lobe's blog, Lobelog <http://www.lobelog.com/>. The Real News <http://therealnews.com/t2/> carries excellent video interview coverage of Iran,  Consortium News <http://consortiumnews.com/> is an excellent investigative reporting site with occasional excellent pieces on Iran.

It is impossible to use standard media outlets to get reasonable coverage on Iran. One must go to these smaller web-based outlets, all of which are, in my opinion, reliable. I am sure I have missed a few good outlets, but perhaps others will contribute.
